I just finished up with my prescribed physical therapy appointments last week (8 visits). Unfortunately, I am no better than I was 4 weeks ago.
But !
I will continue doing my exercises at home in the hopes that over time my back will start feeling better.
:-)

Your back does not give out from scoliosis alone ( that is a label for curvature of the spine ). If it was a muscle spasm, the steroid pack should have helped. If you are still having pain or numbness with movement, it is time to return to the GP for an MRI to rule out a herniated disk. Walking is good to keep you moving, just avoid the lifting when you care for the dogs, etc till your back settles. The worst thing you can do for your back is to just sit around.

I think at this point I'd talk it over with your dr. and see what he/she feels is safe for you. They may want to refer you for some physical therapy sessions. Hope you feel better soon!

A couple of weeks ago I bend to put the harness on my dogs and my back just gave out. Went to the Chiropracter and told me I have Scoliosis. After 2 weeks of walking crooked I went to my GP and she gave me muscle relaxer and a steroid.

Im still not all together healed as I tried to do even the simpliest yoga moves (which I find difficult) but just any type of workout that I can do. Help
