No. I don't eat meat as it is, and something lab-grown does not appeal to me.

I wouldn't knowingly eat a lab-grown burger.

Probably...if I had done some research of UNBIASED studies based on science and not on (1) scare tactics from uninformed people nor (2) information gathered and funded by the company making the product.

Assuming mankind is still up-and-running, I am imagining that in 1000 years or so, a lot of food will be lab-produced.

Companies like Monsanto are already genetically engineering our food. That said I don't believe this is in anyway a good thing. In fact, it's the exact opposite. It's a very bad thing. So no I would never knowingly eat a lab grown burger. Our FDA is so lax in regulating our food now that who knows what would end up in it? Would you eat something that had bio engineered products in it that may or may not cause cancer? You might never be told one way or the other until it had been on the shelves for a dozen years or more. Ugh. If I was a young person I'd buy a few acres, raise and grow all of my food both vegetable and animal. That is the only way you can assure you're getting healthy wholesome food these days.

Uck!! Having said that I am blessed to be able to feed my family with good food; not everyone has the access to food so maybe this is the way we need to go to make sure everyone has nutritious food available to them.

I like the concept of being able to eat meat without the ethical and environmental issues but my understanding is that, at this point, the experimental product is a) Quite expensive (well, duh) and b) somewhat lacking in flavour. If/when they overcome those issues I'd certainly be open to it. I'm actually rather excited by the possibilities.

Sure, why not. Actually eating insect larvae is some of the best protein and it can be grown quickly. emoticon
