Thanks for the encouragement - today is day 8 of walking at least 30 minutes a day. I have challenged my self to continue throughout August everyday. I'll be out of town in Sept so I'll have to modify the challenge for that month.

You cannot succeed if you don't start.

Very little sleep last night so I was dragging today. Of course it's a busy, get out the door early, kind of day. So about 3 PM, it's time to get on the treadmill. A nap was calling me but I laced up my shoes and got on to do 30 minutes at whatever pace I could muster. Surprise, surprise, the upbeat music on my ipod got me moving along at a pretty good pace (for me!) and I ended up getting in 1.75 miles in 32 minutes. Yes, I went the extra 2 minutes to finish a lap. Note to self - even when you're tired go ahead and give it a try. You may have more in you than you thought. emoticon
