I recently listened to a SP Radio segment on Nutrition over 50 and the guest suggested having protein and fiber for your snacks so that is what I have been concentrating on.
Yesterday, I had a "light" string cheese stick and multigrain crackers with almond butter. I typically have a piece of fruit for another snack with light & fit greek yogurt.

WARNING! usually pretzel STICKS are more manageable. The most important part about any snack is to read the PORTION SIZE. This can be a deserved treat if its not abused. Also, watch the 'sodium' content for your daily consumption.

Hey are pretzels healthy? I didn't know. What am I missing? My 'go to' healthy snack is bananas or fromage frais - or both together!

We took a ride out to find and visit a small fishing lake about 25 minutes from our home. My wife packed water, plums, banana, and some pretzels.
