Hello fellow treadmillers! I am new to this site and am glad to find others who love (or at least grudgingly use) the treadmill. Walking is the only exercise I have been able to stick with over the years, probably because I can turn on my iPod and do it while my mind wanders elsewhere. I am 52 and need to lose at least 50 pounds (*again* -- but that's another story), so I hope to use some combination of increased distance/speed/incline on the treadmill to help get me there. My current workout is 55 minutes (just over 3 miles), with 5 minutes of warm up and cool down on each end, and 45 minutes @ 3.5 mph in the middle, with 5 minutes each at inclines 1-9%. I aim to do this 5 days/week, but if I get in 3 or 4 days then I am still OK with it. So... that's my story. Looking forward to some interaction with others who also like to (literally) walk their talk.... ;)
