I was suddenly thrown into menopause about 11 years ago when I had my ovaries removed.
During that time I had some night sweats and short hot flashes. I do not take hormone
supplements and never have. I am currently 62.

I have lost about 10 pounds in 6 weeks and have noticed in recent days that
my hot flashes and night sweats seem to be back. Other that a decrease in calories
my daily life hasn't changed. I have always exercised regulary.

So, my theory is that there are hormones, as well as other goodies, are stored in fat cells
and as we lose weight they are released into our systems messing up our
hormone balance.

Has anyone also had this experience? Does anyone have a link/information about
what can be released from fat cells as they shrink?

Thanks.
