Thank you so much for the support, I had a hysterectomy in 2008 and put on 20lbs and most of it right in the middle, the gyn says it is not uncommon for this to happen especially with very low hormones...YUK. But I am going to keep plugging away at this weight thing, I am not a quiter and I know I will get there. Thanks so much:)

Take it one day at a time, one baby step at a time. Make one change and then make another. As long as you are headed in the right direction, good on you. There is a lot to learn about this journey. It is an attitude adjustment so you can make a lifestyle change. Getting the proper fuel for your body, the proper sleep, the proper exercise, the proper amount of fluids, it all takes time to learn. Take it slow and make the changes lasting. After awhile it should get easier, you won't have to work so hard at it because after awhile the changes should become good habits. Read the articles, blogs, take the polls and quizzes, write on the message boards, track your nutrition and fitness, it all helps with the learning process. After awhile you should also learn that the scale is not the only way to judge your success. How you feel about yourself and your body, how you fit into your clothes, how far you can walk painfree, being able to do a flight of stairs without becoming winded, might all be better measures for how you are doing. Some people really like the before and after photos. So you might want to take a few to remind yourself where you started. So, even if the scale isn't moving, your body will still be benefiting from the healthy changes you are making. ANd what better reason to continue. Good luck and welcome to a fabulous site.

Just started SP three weeks ago, I am 55 and find my weight does not come off so easy. First week I lost 2.8lbs 2nd week2.2 today my third weigh in only 1lb...I guess it is better than gaining a pound:)
