I found a wonderful cooler, small, that holds plenty of those ice packs you freeze ahead of time.
Prep before you go. and make sure you 'snack' on some o the things that you might not think of as 'snacks'. If you eat meat, cut up strips or chunks of chicken breast and cook ahead with lots of herbs and such for flavor. finger food size. If you can get good at making sure you have protein throughout the day, it will really help.
I also like containers of veggies that are blanched ahead of time. or ones cooked to crisp tender like fresh green beans. blanching takes away that 'i'm sick of raw vegetables' feeling.
check out the websites of the fast food places you might stop at. Decide ahead of time what you are going to order.
