Congratulations, JamesMcD007 - a long-term maintainer!!!

And yes. I've exercised today. I got out and WALKED. Was a gorgeous, Indian-summer day not very far from the Chesapeake Bay. I ran my errands.

Today was "active rest" for me. My only real rest day this week. I'm still going to try to do my yoga before bed.

YES. Almost 30 minutes of intense yoga, plus assisted pull-ups, so far.

Probably more pull-ups, and some captain's chair knee-ups, and maybe some kettlebell swings. We will see. : )

Yes, a bit. Yoga, and 5.5 assisted pull-ups, so far.

We just had a light dinner (wild cod), so next, one glass white wine while I decide on a pre-bedtime exercise. Push-ups? Kettlebell swings?

Enjoy your evening, or morning/day, as the case may be...

Me? Not quite yet. But last evening I walked 2.5 miles, including 1 mile+ walk home from my train. Just missed a bus, so figured no point standing and waiting 15 minutes, when I could be home, on foot, in 20. Great weather, great walk, wonderful exercise! So, I'll do some recovery bouncing on my trampoline. But maybe first some kettlebell swings - woo hoo!! (I was already in the house 10 minutes when I heard the bus I would have waited for go by.)

Yes. Mostly walking before, during, and after grocery shopping. I'm lucky I don't have a car, and lucky to live where you don't need one. A beautiful day. #exercise

Hi, Hawkthree. I think you can count SOME physio as working out. Does any of it raise your heart rate? Does it challenge your muscles, or work on flexibility?

Wearing a heart rate monitor helps to answer some of these questions! Do you wear one yet? I wear mine in addition to my Fitbit.

Cheers!

Can I count physical therapy as working out?

There is no such thing as the final success in life. What is really meaningful is the courage to face the next minute, hour, day.

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE who posts to this thread! We've had this going for quite awhile! For many of us, "Have you worked out today" is *the really basic question,* and each of us has our answer. Sharing the question - and daily answers - here help ME to stay accountable, both to myself and to you all. Ultimately, we thank ourselves for working out regularly, along with those who love us and everyone helping us, in some way, on our journeys to get and STAY FIT.

So far, I've done some power yoga. Next will be warm-up and probably kettlebell. Right now, I'm drinking a nice, homemade protein shake made with frozen, organic blueberries, no-carb whey protein isolate, and a few supplements I like (creatine, few chia seeds, sprinkle of cayenne powder, etc).

HAVE YOU WORKED OUT TODAY? Whether a small workout or a medium (or more) -- ENJOY!!

HUGS,

MSBOOTCAMP

We really need to have less time on our loads!

I love SOME extra time so I can get my 2 miles a day in, but when I'm able to get 4 or MORE miles in a day......then we definitely have WAY to much extra time!

The picture on the right is my 1st 2 mile walk and the picture on the left is my 2nd 2 mile walk today, and we're STILL going to be sitting most of Tuesday too, since we don't deliver until 1700!

NOT YET, after walking around for five miles and several hours yesterday. Needed some extra rest today. I'll do my thing shortly - bit of yoga, warm-up, some knee-ups, and maybe kettlebell swings. We shall see. Right now I'm eating! Yum...

WOW, MrsTrucker. You made great use of your time!

I walked 4.5 miles "all over" in the fresh air today, beside Potomac River, so now I am OFF to BED. Goo'night, all!!

Accountability time!

We have been at our customer in Romeoville, IL, since 11:30am for our 2pm loading appointment.

They put us in a door at noon, but I just talked to the receptionist, and she said there are still two trucks ahead of us, to be loaded first......so much for appointments.

Anyway, while we have been sitting here, I walked around the facility and got 3.05 miles in.
I didn't walk as fast as I normally do, due to the heat, but I DID walk!!

Walked 3 miles around the truck stop last night, then went inside and did my Body Flex program before doing 30 minutes on the exercise bike!

I don't post here regularly because I can never get here on my phone....but I'm working on that!

WOW... 4.5 mile walk in the morning! I'll be out walking a bit tomorrow (Saturday). Will carry my own water, as well as macadamia nuts and almonds, and "MAP" amino acid tablets. Probably will have my simple, homemade protein shake and a deviled egg for breakfast before going out. So I will be "set" till we get back home.

So far, did a bit of yoga. Deliberately did not do pull-ups and knee-ups. Do those tomorrow. One short session before bedtime. Warm-up, kettlebell swings, and bit of bedtime yoga.

yep! I do much better if I get in my exercise in the morning. Got in 4.5 miles walking this morning. It is 8:30 and I have less than 100 steps to make my 10,000 steps for the day!

BIG AFFIRMATIVE. Yoga, 5-minute warm-up, and about 10 minutes of kettlebell swings. Then spent much of the day WALKING to where I had to go, and walking up steps and escalators in the Metro (train stations). Time to sleep.

Right on, MissLori and MaryJoanna! Today, I've done just a bit. 3 sets of 5 assisted pull-ups, and 2 sets of 15 hanging knee raises (on "captain's chair" handles on the home pull-up apparatus). Maybe something else before bed?

After yesterday's yoga, took the rest of the day OFF and wrote it down as a REST DAY. We have to have regular rest days, too! Enjoyed the rest of my day, and my (once-in-a-while) bowl of raviolini pasta for dinner. Also, I COOLED THE PASTA before eating (to increase its RESISTANT STARCH), and used apple cider vinegar, cinnamon, and MCT oil also to balance out the pasta's heavy carbohydrates for my digestion and metabolism. Our food is about 3 or 4 times more important than just exercise.

My 'workout' today was two hours of working at a flooded home across town....I am still exhausted 4 hours later! That is hard work physically and also mentally overwhelming...but I wouldn't dare complain because our home didn't flood and many in our town have all their belongings on the street with the trash. Water is a powerful force!

Today, so far, did a light yoga session - by light, I mean 5 minutes. A simple session of "surya namaskar," also known as "sun salutations."

Now thinking about preparing and eating food. A bit later, a warm-up, then, perhaps, some kettlebell swings, maybe a bit more yoga, and some knee-ups, and maybe pull-ups on our doorway pull-up contraption.

Anyone else having chilly, rainy weather? Summer is on her way back home...

We see "Blissful Moments" is enthusiastic!!! LOL. Excellent!

And, YES, I got in my yoga surya namaskar (sun salutations), and a challenging Kaylin Richardson warm-up, assisted pull-ups, and a great kettlebell ladder: five rounds of *push-ups, *kettlebell swings, and *squats. And a cool down.

If you haven't tried a ladder, you should! You can make up your own from any group of exercises you want to do together. Look up exercise "ladders" on the Internet to see how to create your own workout!

Walked this morning (1.2 miles) and then it started to rain.
When we got back, DH cooked lunch!

Later, when the weather cleared up, I decided to walk to Walmart to get some milk (which I forgot!), some Flatout Flatbread (which they didn't have), and some water (got regular and some ICE Sparkling Flavored Water.

I didn't hear my tracker say 3 miles, so I decided to keep walking after dropping the groceries off at the truck. When the time finally got to 2 hours, I quit, not knowing how many miles I actually walked!

My totals for today were:
Distance: 4.7 miles
Calories burned: 858
Steps walked: 14,426

I can never seem to find this page on my phone, so I have to post from my laptop.

So, this is what I did yesterday!
***********************************************************************************************
Back from Planet Fitness! 1.4 miles over and 1.6 miles back....walked to Target for food to cook for dinner! I also had another .5 miles, walking to and around Target, but didn't realize that was correct, so I deleted it.....so I actually got 3.5 miles of walking in, today!!

I did the 30-minute workout and a medium paced, 2 mph, for an hour on the treadmill. Enjoyed 10 mins on the Hydromassage bed before I left. Pushed against a strong wind on my way back, too!

I've been noticing that pickleball is being offered at our community centers.

There is no such thing as the final success in life. What is really meaningful is the courage to face the next minute, hour, day.

Every day I have gotten at least a 2 mile walk in.

Today, I got an hour walk in while waiting to get into a door to get loaded (I'm a truck driver).

Since I lost my phone (which was found and I will retrieve tomorrow), I can't track the miles....but, I can at least track the time!
