Mall-walking is so cool. And convenient. Gives me ideas. Especially come some days in late fall and dead of winter.

Walked two and a quarter miles, 48 minutes, late this afternoon. Came home, had homemade protein shake and 2 plates of fresh spinach (with butter), then passed out sleep. Woke up just before midnight. Sparkpeople, then back to sleep. Good night!

Go, Jibbie! Housework is a calorie-burner.

And yes! I took care of a couple of chores today, including grocery shopping. Had to walk up a long flight of escalator steps that weren't running. And I did it, with just one stop to catch my breath! (Just so I'd know, I also checked my heart rate when I got to the top. I use a free app called "CARDIIO," on my cellphone.) I haven't been moving quite like that in a while. Workouts - especially weight training (strength training) & straightening out my eating are paying off. Good feeling.

Nope! Today is my Rest Day. Also, it's my weekly Slow-Carb "Cheat Day," which I'm doing on Saturdays.

I am now doing one or two rest days per week. Haven't yet decided if I usually want to have two days. But definitely at least one! Have a beautiful new week.

Yes! Today's strength training, with some cardio. Two or three mini-sessions: morning, afternoon, and evening.

My favorite cellphone fitness app, with timer, illustrated workout instructions & all, is Workout Trainer, from Skimble. Use the FREE workouts, or pay a bit for either PRO or the PRO+. The differences are explained in the app. There's a very active and helpful (and focused) community of folks who do and share their workouts, and give each other feedback/encouragement, as well as a users' forum, etc.

Had an amazing Saturday, which is also my weekly (Slow Carb) Cheat Day. Was TOO HOT, HUMID to cheat much (food-wise). YES, I DID work out. Had a wonderful, intense cardio (trampoline) workout. Soon, a beverage (and more water), a shower, and get ready for bed, praying the temperature drops more during the night. #StayHydrated

CherylAnnMeyers! Hi there! Don't be hard on yourself. Obviously, you've had a really demanding schedule, with visitors and everything. If I were you (and I've been in similar situations), I'd take this time to do something fun, and energising, and relaxing for myself, like go for a massage, a facial, or at least a manicure & pedicure. You deserve it.

And, yes, I do have an eating plan, and track food (track pretty much). Best to see a doctor first, and a nutritionist could help a lot, too, to see what your general health status is, and how to implement the right type of food habits for YOU. Nowadays I am sticking with low-carb or "slow-carb" eating, which I think of much more as permanent than as a "diet." I was never much into high-sugar eating, but now that I know that the human body needs ONLY 1 teaspoon of sugar PER DAY, I am even more proudly into low-sugar, low-carb eating.

I SURE COULD USE SOME HELP!! It has been 8 days since I have tracked and or intentionally exercised! We have had company for half of that time and it has been so hot and with work and everything else - I cant seem to get a grasp! I am getting nervous because I dont want to fail. Any suggestions would be so welcome.

Yes! Daily fave, mini-trampoline! Plus housework, and climbing a few sets of stairs. The other day I finally jumped rope for the first time in years. Then I ordered myself a new, adjustable knee brace, since one knee was giving me (minor) issues. I hope to add a few seconds' more jumping to each session.

40 minutes on the treadmill and 10 on the rowing machine. Beautiful day and I may need to get away from my desk and go for a walk this afternoon :)

Workout Monday-Friday with weekends off. Workout schedule include: Monday, Wednesday and Friday Riding my mountain bike; Tuesday and Thursday, weight training and Monday-Friday walking my dog. Will sometimes substitute yard work and housework for one of my exercise routines. Very happy with my results as well as my physician.
