I'M GETTING THERE!! Slowly, but surely! Seems like most days I like to do my workout around late afternoon or early evening, or later!

Yesterday, I did 46 minutes and 1.2 miles of bouncing and running, walking and jumping, in my rebound boots (Air Kicks), while ostensibly "walking the dog." (Well, I WAS, but... More than a dog walk.)

I will start with a tiny bit of yoga, like 7 minutes, then maybe some trampoline, short arm warm up and kettlebell, and on from there. Looking forward to it!

Omgods! My bf and i walked quite a bit this afternoon..and oh am i sore tonight! I ate too much today though...but its a good sore. I am wishing i could have a piece of my special watermelon ring tonight but im waiting on a possible job. Cant do edibles at this job...aleve it is tonight!

Hi there, NASFKAB! Just saw your most recent message from 21 Jan, below. Sure, I'm happy to share with you about the online training I'm using. The website is ibodyfit.com. I also use Skimble.com's wonderful "Workout Trainer" app on cellphone. For women, one of the things is that we must do weight training. I prefer 1) body weight, 2) dumbbells, and 3) kettlebells. For me, dumbbells and kettlebells are easier to get and keep at home, and to use. And body weight exercises are both FREE and NO JOKE. You can really get in shape just from body weight exercise, if you do them right, and do them regularly. The other issues are your overall health, and working with your health professional to set and monitor your health goals, and both your nutrition/ food, and supplementation, the healthy nutritional supplements that many people use. A very good (organic) daily multivitamin is the basis for supplementation. More later. It's sleepy time for me.

Worked out last night around midnight, so, yes, also have worked out "today," and need to go to sleep a.s.a.p.! (Nap earlier, thus burst of late-night energy.) LOL... Did my prescribed arms workout on ibodyfit.com. 3, 8, 10 and 15 lb dumbbells, and bodyweight plus some cardio intervals. More later. Winding down.

Definitely. Started a challenging new, online fitness programme. Really serious. Just did 30-40 min strength workout, with like 3-4 sets of various weighted and non-weighted exercises. Mostly combination movements, working two or three muscle groups. Kicking my butt. So, workout-wise, it's been a good day. If I keep this up, in 4 to 6 months, I'll be in pretty darn good shape. Now, to make a homemade protein shake.

Did my basic yoga, but not yet worked out. Took a long nap, which I must have needed! It was great! Yesterday, did 54 min. outdoors, "walking the dog," wearing my rebound boots - my cellphone apps say I burned over 700 CALORIES! More later on this great regular workout of mine.

Tonight, going to get in a bit of strength training - a warm up, dumbbells and kettlebell swings, and a bit of medium-intensity(?) cardio on my mini-trampoline.

Saturdays are my food Cheat Day!!! Still a bit of time to have something else that I like. Some pasta. The night is almost over...

I might get some cardio in before midnight, but this evening I've been really sleepy. So, other than my (brief) morning yoga earlier today, so far, nope. And although I've eaten quite well, I haven't made a salad. But, maybe another homemade protein shake before bed. Good luck, everyone!

Our first real snow of this winter, though we got no more than an inch and a half. And frigid, frigid temps. Better luck (me working out) tomorrow! Second week of 2017!

Feel better, NAFSKAB!

Active rest day today. Walked 1.54 miles, plus short morning yoga. A pair of real, thermal long underwear (marked for "cold to extreme cold climate"), along with thermal sock liners (under my socks) and a thick, long, warm knit scarf made all the difference in getting around out in this cold. Also, my trusty leather gloves. Bedtime soon.

Yes! And down one more pound! Now using a Tickr X heart rate monitor to grab all my workout and activity data. Extremely helpful. Constant feedback. 11 minutes, part at high intensity, on trampoline. Still ahead: kettlebells and dumbbells and a bit of bodyweight. And did a short, 7-minute yoga flow.

Sure did. 10 minutes' planks and knee push-ups. 25 mins' Hip Hop Abs. And 15 minutes moderate jumping on mini-trampoline, with JB Berns exercise DVD. Also, walking. To bus and Metro; to grocery stores; and coming home. Next? Bedtime.

Taking care of GC today since it is a Holiday and the Schools/Daycare are closed but my DD has to work as does my son. BLUE ANGELS air show in Pensacola, Florida at the beach so lots going on. It is the final show for the season today and tomorrow. We don't go but thousands of people do.
So, I'll get my exercise going to the park with kids.

A fun sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping-pong. Played both indoors or outdoors on a badminton-sized court and a slightly modified tennis net. Played with a paddle and a plastic ball with holes. Played as doubles or singles. It is a lot of fun. You meet great people, get exercise and have fun all at the same time.
