that would be me. the turtle.

1. slow to learn but once i catch on lookout
2. slow to realize that only exercise and
heathly eating wins the race.
3. kept my head tucked in my shell where it was
comfortable ignoring weight gain and health issues

Although I am still a turtle at heart I have learned so much in the past few weeks from Sparks and my Sparks friends it is amazing.

I have now transformed myself from a turtle to WonderWoman and I am on a long journey to find the Land of Healthy where I plan to live for the rest of my life.

I averaged about 3/4 pound loss per week over the last year. It is a lot slower than when I was younger, but it is still possible.

It sounds like you are doing good. I would stay AWAY from the scales for awhile. Stay active and pay attention to how you feel, how your clothes are fitting, and how you are sleeping.

I like the topic. it is so me! slow and steady. run means fall, but walking works! My wii fit is back home now..it was at my sister's house. now to get a steady exercise program on it again.

I have not always been a turtle, but now have multiple health problems...
I exercise 6 days a week for 30 minutes and eat from 1400 to 1900 calories daily of clean healthy calories.
Still no weight loss. I will keep eating healthy and exercising, but it gets discouraging! Any constructive suggestions?

At age 52, and going through menopause, I have discovered that it is vastly more difficult to keep my weight off and exercise than even two years ago. I have significantly less energy and strength than before menopause in 2008. But, I can make healthier food choices and still jog. I might be slower, but I am steady and consistent.
