I just recently closed out an old spark account and opened a new account... I wanted a fresh start. I searched for 2 days to find the Planner on the Trackers drop down. So disappointed to see that it has been removed. On my old account I used that feature exclusively to journal daily. I used the calendar as my healthy lifestyle calendar so my workouts/ weigh ins and classes would not get jumbled into the family calendar. I know we are now encouraged to participate more in public blogs and message boards. Although I understand it takes a community to live a healthy lifestyle, there are also entries that are better suited to be private. I don't always want to spell check and articulate with great detail to make sure the blog sounds/reads well. I'm not sure how many participants used the Planner feature but I for one would LOVE to see the feature return (even in a different format) Having the ability to store all of my information in 1 place was a major reason I chose SparkPeople as my online tool. Please bring back the Planner!
I have been away from Spark People about a month and apparently missed this. I am not a new member, but I cannot find my journal (planner) anywhere on the drop down menu. It used to be under "My Trackers." Has it disappeared entirely, or is there a way I can still access and use this feature. It has years of entries that I would hate to use. These are private things that I would not want aired in a blog. If the feature is gone, please give some consideration to bringing it back!
I never really ever used the private journal planner since I have a private journal on another site and write public entries in my blog. Anyhow, Spark People needs to let a lot of these new changes take before continuing to make changes all the time. This past year feels like there have been constant changes and some need a little time to adjust to every thing, thanks~

Yes, I have been wondering the same thing. I have kept a journal here for years and would also hate to see it disappear. When I searched the help section this is what I got: Where can I find my private journal and appointment calendar?
Blogging is a key to success for many SparkPeople members. But if you're not ready to go "public" with a blog, you can create private journal entries visible just to you. You can journal about your goals, your plans of action, your progress, or anything that helps you. You can also use the journal entries on the private journal page to save notes or other information that you want to reference later.
In the appointment calendar, you can add appointments, birthdays and anniversaries and set up email reminders so you won't forget these important events!
To find your private journal and appointment calendar:
Roll your mouse over “My Trackers” at the top of the screen. Click on “Planner." You’ll now see your Planner page where you can write in a private journal and/or set appointment reminders.
The only thing is, "PLANNER" no longer appears there. Please advise! Thanks!

I've been keeping a private daily journal on SparkPeople since 2007! If SparkPeople goes through with dropping the Planner/Journal option, what will happen to the journal entries we've been writing for years? Will they still be accessible, or will we lose them completely???
Please don't drop our option to blog privately - that's what the journal is!
