Sorry to hear that! If you want something that syncs with your SparkPeople account, the other brands to look at are Garmin, Misfit, and Jawbone UP. I'm not sure which of those might work best for you, but you can start looking at the different options that they have available.

Can anyone suggest a better watch than fitbit. I have been trying for months to get my fitbit to sinc with my computer that has windows 10. I have to use my neighbors computer to sinc my fitbit surge. I'm getting tired of it and he is getting tired of it. Plus I will be moving soon and won't be able to sinc my fitbit. I have contacted fitbit with no results and feel that fitbit is a poor choice.

Contacted help desk already. They were unable to solve the problem and said they would turn it over to their engineers. In the meantime I have to use someone elses computer to log in.

You may want to contact Fitbit's help desk/support team to see if they can help you get that worked out on your computer.

Did your Fitbit come with a USB dongle? I have a Fitbit that does and I'm able to plug that in my computer and use that to sync it if I don't use my phone. Is that an option for you?

I do not have a smart phone. I tried to use the blue tooth connection on my computer but it is not syncing up to the fitbit watch. I've tried restarting the watch. Still doesn't work. Everything was fine until I went to windows 10. It seems that windows 10 makes it where the watch will not sync.

Why aren't you able to use your computer to sync your Fitbit? Do you have a smartphone with bluetooth connection?

It looks like you connected your Fitbit just a short time ago and it will only send that data after the connection, not the data entered prior to the connection. With the food portion, it sends that data to Fitbit as soon as you track it. So, if you tracked your food before you connected your Fitbit, it won't be sending those items over there.

I have synced through both my phone and computer...and neither one of them are syncing the food I have entered. Are there some tricks or tips I need?

EDIT: My spark people is syncing through the app and my computer. But I am not able to see the food I have entered on spark people on my fitbit dashboard.

There shouldn't be much of a delay. It should show up as soon as you have synced your Fitbit device to Fitbit through their site or app and that should cause your device data to be sent to us and for us to send the food data to them.

Is there a delay in how long it take calories to update in the fitbit dashboard? Ive synced my fitbit charge hr with spark people, entered in food that i have eaten into spark people and I expected to see those calories eaten in my fitbit dashboard on my iPhone. Is there an additional step I need in order to complete the sync?

Welcome back!

Tracking in addition to the Fitbit entry will cause things to be counted twice, so you have a couple options:

1. Just let Fitbit track your data and not manually track anything. The data that comes from Fitbit does only include Very Active and Fairly Active minutes from Fitbit's site.

2. Manually enter your workouts and delete the Fitbit entry OR edit it to adjust it to what you want it to show for calories burned and fitness minutes. To edit it, you can click on the Fitbit entry or to delete, click the red x next to it.

I think it comes down to what your preference would be; either of those options would work.

I haven't been on sp for years and there have been so many changes! Love it. Back on track, need some help after my courtship...:) Had fun doing it but now it's time to hit the real world again.

Have a fitbit charge and it is synced to sp but it is doubling my fitness activity. It is outrageous! I had circuit training this morning and it says I've already burned 897 calories, I know that can't be true, so, my question is, how do I fineness into doing what I want? Should I NOT enter my activity into sp manually and just rely on fitbit to do it for me or should I delete or modify fitbits entries and use them together?

Thanks!

Unfortunately, the Withings Ox2 isn't able to sync with SparkPeople.

Sorry about that!

Once you have it connected, it will automatically sync for you. As long as you have synced your Fitbit data to Fitbit's site, it will then send it to our site.

The sync between the two apps is not seamless. But, you can make it work.

You can go to your Fitness Tracker page, click on Connect Devices/Apps, then click the Disconnect button for your Fitbit. That will then disconnect them.

Okay. I'm going to turn off Fitbit syncing then. It is messing me up because it keeps telling me I have done so much activity, but I really haven't worked out. Do I have to turn off the syncing on the Fitbit website, or is there a place I can do it on SP?

Is the feature to be able to adjust synciing options between Fitbit and SP in process? I hate the way the steps from Fitbit way overstates my fitness minutes on SP. I want SP to show actual workouts, not just daily steps. But I do like the calorie tracking syncing over to my Fitbit dashboard. Any chance of options coming?

Sorry, but only food that is logged on SparkPeople will transfer to Fitbit. The connection isn't open for the food to come from Fitbit, but your Fitness info will.

I just got my FitBit. The fitness syncing is working, but not the nutrition. Will the food logged onto FitBit transfer over to SparkPeople? Any idea what I may be doing wrong?

SPIKESGIRL2 - I clicked the link on your fitness page to sync the fitbit for yesterday and it forced a sync and pulled that other data through. So if you see that happen again, you can use that link to pull it over.

Hello: Am curious as to why my FitBit does not sync Steps, calories burned, exercise minutes, or distance. It just has one big total, like 1400...that could mean anything. I uninstalled and re-installed the fitbit app and gave SP access but doesn't help. I can see the extra calories I have to work with but I am not sure I "worked off" 1400 calories (believe me, that ain't it, even though I am working towards it). So, can you tell me what's going on? Or, I am I doing something incorrectly? By the way, everything is showing up properly on the FitBit Dashboard.

I also would like to have options for syncing. I like to use the mileage tracker to track the miles that I run and the fitbit throws that way off. I do like the food tracker sync though. The calories available for the day are way different though on the fitbit dashboard though.

I recently got a Fitbit and synched it with SP. Needless to say, while I'm enjoying the Fitbit, the minutes and calories imported for Fitness everyday are way too high. I'm deleting the entries and may eventually cancel the synch. However, I like the fact that my SP nutrition tracker synches with Fitbit. Is there a way that we can choose what synches between Fitbit and SP? It would be lovely if I could just synch the nutrition tracker.

Thank you.
