I am familiar with PB2. It is peanut butter without any oil. All you do is add a TBSP of water to your desired consistency and eat promptly. It stiffens as it sits. It can be bought usually in your grocers organic section or online. Someone buys it for me. It has barely any calories and is delicious.
I don't reconstitute it, but have added it to banana "ice cream" (frozen banana pureed in the food processor), oatmeal, etc. Recently was excited to see it at my local Wal-Mart, but also have purchased through Amazon.

Roasted peanuts with all the fat removed, and turned into a powder. I think the stuff is awesome. I don't like how it tastes reconstituted and eaten like that, but I've added it to oatmeal, and smoothies...really yummy without the added fat. I got mine at WholeFoods.
Yep, I put a tablespoon of it into a nutrition shake. Not only does it thicken it up, but gives it a peanut buttery flavor. But to make general peanut butter, you just put a couple tablespoons into a small bowl and gradually add water and stir to the consistency you want. You can make it as thin or as thick as you like.
The chocolate PB2 is great for dipping apples. Yummy flavor.
Some people like PB2, some people don't, but I think it's very tasty and I can eat it without feeling guilty about all the calories of regular peanut butter. Basically it's a preference. You'd have to try it to see if you like it or not.
You can buy it online at places like Amazon, Netrition (where I got mine) and GNC. But I've recently seen it pop up in my grocery store (Kroger) in the organic foods section with the other nut butters.
