If it's to be eaten cooked, I measure after it's cooked.

I weight and measure everything. I set my dinner table with my scales and measuring cups.

Excellent! I would assume so but I just wanted to make sure.

Thank you!

Items in the database are cooked values unless otherwise noted. So I would say to measure it after it's cooked.

When I make a baked potato, do I weigh it before or after it's cooked? I've noticed that the weight is lower after I bake it and I think it's because a lot of the water came out while it cooked. So, should I weigh it before or after it's cooked?

Same goes with meat. Which weight matters? The meat usually weighs less after it's cooked.

So, my big question is when should I be weighing my food? Before or after it's cooked?
