We use ours to freeze blueberries, green beans, & strawberries all summer. Also, I make gallons of pesto and freeze it in ice cube trays and then vac pac them. I freeze very few dinners but I would use it for that.
I do buy whole salmon (living in the rainy PNW has it's advantages!) and vac pac it for freezing. Once I put some marinade in with the fish & it marinated as it defrosted. It was great but usually I just freeze it plain
It really keeps the food fresh. And, we reuse many of the bags to save money.

Thank you for the answer, Nana, think I may look into buying one of those. You're right about fish, though. I may just stop buying it unless it's already frozen and when I buy fresh, I'll grab just enough for me to use that day or the day after and be done with it.

I buy some things in bulk, then freeze in individual servings. But some of the foods, fish and seafood especially, are freezer burned by the time I'm ready to eat them and I end up tossing it out. So I was wondering if anyone here uses the food sealers and if they really do protect against freezer burn, especially with more 'delicate' foods, like fish. I even recently stopped buying fish (unless I'm going to use it within a day or two) because it's such a waste to throw it away when it becomes inedible. I don't put fish in the freezer anymore because of that reason, unless it's already frozen. But I like buying my fish fresh and I'd like a more protective way of storing it without it being ruined by the freezer.
