OKAY, so my roommate and I want to try a few recipes, both from here and the weight watchers site, that call for greek yogurt. So this week grocery shopping i bought a small tub of it for us to use to make our ranch dressing, my macaroni and cheese, and a couple of other things.
The recipes all call for fat free greek yogurt and I got full-fat. I know, it was my fault. I should have double checked, etc etc. But now I have this full fat Greek yogurt that I have NO IDEA what to do with. I don't want to cook with it because the difference between full fat and fat free is ... a lot. Like, a whole lot. Enough difference that I feel like I wasted my money.
I feel uncomfortable trying to take a food item back to Wal-Mart, even though I haven't opened it. I don't want to use it, because it's heavier in fat than I want to be eating. And I don't know ANYBODY that uses Greek yogurt.
Am I stuck cooking with this, suck it up, and know better next time? Or are there any light recipes anyone knows that I could use this in (which I doubt)?
EDIT: OH man, this post was completely unnecessary! I am clearly new to this stuff, because apparently I did get fat free? I would have sworn I had full fat. NOWHERE on the container does it say fat free. Happy accident, I guess, since I had INTENEDED to buy full? Well, this is embarrassing .....
