I agree that you use it just like you would ground beef. I've found that it has a higher moisture content though so I don't add as much liquid if a recipe calls for it and I use a little extra bread crumbs or rice in meatloaf dishes too.

One of my favorites is making turkey with taco seasonings, then topping a salad with that, salsa, black beans, hot sauce, and a sprinkle of cheese, or maybe even a spoonful of light sour cream. So good..oesn't even need dressing!

Also just made buffalo turkey burgers (mix turkey with buffalo sauce and sauteed onions and peppers) then topped with blue cheese crumbles or dressing...or both :)

I started by substituting 1/2 ground turkey for 1/2 of the ground beef to let my hubby realize it is just as good. We enjoy it!

Exactly as mentioned -- use like ground beef. Though remember that if it's lean, which it usually is, you have to treat it as a lean meat. Anyway -- great with other flavors (rice, spices, veggies, mushrooms, oats ...) for stuffing and roasting (a) peppers or (b) large tomatoes, or (c) rolling in cabbage or grape leaves.

I use it just liike I would ground beef. Tacos, sloppy joes, burgers (altough I've recently gone back to (extra lean) ground beef for burgers because my husband prefers it), meatloaf, etc. I have only done meatloaf with it once, maybe twice, though. I've also put it in sauces to top spaghetti squash for a "pasta" dish. You can get Italian style ground turkey as well to use in lasanga or sauces.

OK this is like the best meatloaf ever. I make it in one big loaf on a rimmed baking sheet versus the mini ones like in the photo. I just form it with my hands into a loaf, and increase the cooking time. SO good. www.skinnytaste.com/2012/07/bacon-topped-p

I hear about people using ground turkey a lot, looking for some good recipes that include it!
