Mine never has either. As being on a plant based diet, I used jicama in place of fries. Just cut them really thin like shoe string potatoes.

I also have grated it and used it as part of coleslaw. a bit of lemon or lime juice and I am ready to go.

Mine never has. I like it with lime juice and chili powder and in salads. Cut it up at the beginning of the week and have it in the refrigerator all week.

if jicama is shreaded will it turn brown like a potato or apple?
