I looked into it a little more and it has to do with the processing of white flour...which is striped of some nutrients. Wheat is also better for blood sugar levels.

Thank You MaggieMurphy4. I read on my box of whole grain oatmeal and found that it is better than regular oatmeal. And White Rice isn't that much different than brown rice either! I am going to read a lot more labels now!!!

It funny I was just looking at the box of wheat pasta vs. white and the only nutritional difference on the label was fiber. Wheat having more.

I recently read an article claiming that wheat bread and wheat pasta have the same amount of calories as white, but the other nutrients are all the same. Does anyone know if this is true?
