I would say you added too many bananas, or didn`t mash them well enough I have a recipe I have used for years and I usually don`t try new ones for anything I have a "tried & true" recipe . I messed up once and put equal amounts of oil and sugar and my came so very moist..... If you really followed the recipe exact, I would not use that recipe again.

If it is like pudding as in stodgy, then you may have done an extra good job of mixing the batter. I used to do this all the time till I figured under mixing is key. Just mix enough to combine. Good luckemoticon

Huh! I've never had banana bread actually come out runny, although sometimes it softens up a lot after cooking. Generally I refrigerate my banana bread, though.

If it is actually runny, I would probably discard it. Which recipe is it?

My Sparkpage is set to private, but I'm open to SparkMail!

I am not sure... was the recipe from the website or the cookbook? For my banana bread- i tend to just bake it like normal (use all of the normal ingredients and measurements) because I am never happy with the results of the others.

It is one of those recipes that I don't make often, so I feel like it is okay to splurge from time to time.

If someone gives you an idea and it works, please let us know!!

I was making a sparkrecipe last night. followed it exactly, did the toothpick test and came out perfect. So I took the bread out, let it cool, covered it, and cut into it this morning and its more like pudding bread. Is there anything I can do to fix it?
