I prefer to stay away from canned. Prefer fresh, but also keep a lot of frozen in the freezer. I stock up when it's on sale and also pick up some larger bags at Costco.

Life's a garden . . . dig it

Neither I like the idea of canning the fresh fruits or dehydrating them and putting them in the air tight bags.

I would love to be able to buy frozen fruit but for what you get it is much too expensive. When Blueberries, Strawberries and cherries are in season I go nuts and freeze lots of it. I usually have a whole shelf dedicated just for fruit. emoticon emoticon emoticon

I like unsweetened apple sauce in the individual containers and yes, I eat a lot of canned fruit. Look for them canned in juice, like I get a lot of different ones canned in pear juice, they are really good! I also have frozen fruit on hand and of course lots of fresh bananas, apples and oranges.
Gotta love that stuff! emoticon emoticon emoticon

I enjoy defrosting/heating frozen mixed berries in the microwave & then mixing them with a bit of granola for breakfast. Yum!

I like the del monte fruit w/no sugar added. It helps me grab on the go and it's wonderful in cottage cheese. The fruit has no sugar and is not in syrup. Try it and let me know...

I prefer using frozen fruit, as fruit is picked at its peak of freshness and frozen without anything added.

Most canned fruits come in juice or syrup, which adds additional calories and sugar.

Always look to see if the fruit is canned in juice or syrup.... that syrup adds endless calories!

I like buying fruit cups of peaches, they are just lovely tinned. Otherwise I mostly buy frozen berry mixes to add to pancakes and stuff, that excludes even more wasted calories from not having delicious tempting juice to eat too!
