I also have a lot of pampered chef stoneware [ I'm another consultant] & I use them all the time. I also use the metal sheet pans. The only piece of silicone I own is the pampered chef floral cupcake pan. The one thing I like about is the fact the it has a steel rim around the edge so it doesn't collapse on you.

I have some fancy silicone bundt pans that I love as well as muffin pans. I use my stones for main dishes, silicone for deserts.

I also went with stone ware over silicone. Teflon breks down, metal rusts, and I was leery of the silicone off gassing ( looks plastic to me). Just me, I am trying to get away from plastics in my kitchen and use glass/stone ware. I love love love the stone!!!!! Retains heat and cooks more efficiently as well.

I have the silicone sheets you put on cookie sheets or you can roll dough out on it. They are great nothing sticks to them and they are easy to clean. Also when you bake cookies on them they bake perfectly.

The muffin pans worked out great too. I washed them in the diswasher and came spotless clean. No complaints what so ever. No rust either!

Thanks for all this info on the silicone bake wear ~ I've been considering buying some but thought maybe it's not as good as my 'old pans'.

I just used my new loaf pan! It is awesome. It was not too wobbly. It cooked great. The clean up was so incredibly easy. Nothing stuck to it at all! Love it!

OK, I ordered a set of pink silicone bakewear. It has two muffin pans and two loaf pans, which is what I have my biggest problem with. There is also comes with two spatulas. Cost $26.99 free shipping on the pink ones. I'll let you know what I think after I check them out.

Thanks for all your input. Next I want to try the Silpat, they sound great too.

Kris

I use silicon muffin 'papers'. I still have to spray them with a cooking spray to avoid sticking and they are a bit fussy to wash (I don't have a dishwasher).

I ADORE my silicone bakewear and use it whenever I bake (which is not a lot lately). The only exception is the cookie sheet, I find the Silpat is far superior to the regular silicone sheets available at most stores.

I have some silicone but it's not a great heat conductor (matter of fact, it's an insulator) so cooking won't be as even. I'd go to StoneWare, personally. I have quite a few pieces (I'm a Pampered Chef Consultant) and always get a nice rise and even cooking with it and it's super easy to clean. The PC stuff has a 3 year warranty so if you break it, you aren't out that much. The PC baking sheets are fantastic! Nice and heavy stainless. I love it personally.

Have you ever used the silicone bakewear? Do you like it? I am sick and tired of my baking pans rusting.

Slow cookers aren't just for meat! This is a tasty, affordable one-pot vegetarian meal that's filling and perfect for your slow cooker. You can also add shrimp during the last 20 minutes of cooking. If the dish is a little too spicy for the kids, add 1 Tablespoon of plain yogurt to their serving. Serve with a glass of milk and a cucumber salad. Full Recipe
