Immediately upon waking, I had bit of soy protein for it's vasodilation along with a bit of Optimum Nutrition 2:1:1 Recovery to break out of the morning catabolic state. About a half hour after waking, I had raw old fashioned oats with sliced banana, blueberries, Splenda, tons of fresh ground cinnamon and light soy milk.
Following these two simple instructions will guarantee success:
1. Take a baby step forward. 2. Repeat step 1.

I usually have a boiled egg. I'm not a "morning" person and the egg can cook while I'm cleaning up & dressing. Eggs are the ultimate convenience food and they're a great source of protein, which is an excellent way to start the day. Current research says that contrary to previous reports, eggs do not cause high cholesterol. YEA!!!!!

A great raisin bran muffin, a little butter and a glass of organic orange juice. My standard is some yogurt and homemade granola with berries from last summer's harvest

Huevos rancheros, made of one serving of refried black beans, one corn tortilla, two eggs, two servings of casera sauce (at 10 cals per serving, knock yourself out, I say), and one serving of shredded cheese, coffee with 1% milk. Hubbie wanted steak, so I added some lean bottom round to the mix. Roughly 550 calories without the meat, and 775 with.
Definitely larger than usual, but we're going to try having our large meal first this weekend, and work down to the smallest one this evening. He needs almost 3,000 calories, and I need just under 2,000 to reach our 1-1.5 lb/week goal.

TVP & Bulghur Wheat "Oatmeal" - 2 T. TVP, 2 T. Bulgur Wheat w/ Soy, 1 T. Wheat Bran, 1/2c. soy milk & 1/4c. coffee, and flavored with vanilla, cinnamon, sugar, and banana. It is really quite good! An interesting change from oatmeal, but similar concept :)

yogurt, banana, and coffee. Since it's a lighter breakfast I'll most likely have something light around 9:30 to tide me over until lunch

On World Vegetarian Day, most people aren't willing to trade in their turkey for tofurkey. Luckily, you can still reap the benefits of vegetarianism by trying flexitarianism on for size.
