Since using the nutrition tracker, I've been learning alot about the salt in foods. I've also noticed that when I use someone else's recipe, I still need to do the nutrition counts, because the particular brand of food item may be way higher in salt than they used. I made a great shrimp recipe from the database, but the salt counts were way lower than when I made it because the shrimp brand I used was different. Just something to think about.

I have to watch my intake of sodium due to inherited hypertention. It is a challenge for me due to all of the process foods we consume. The best way I battle this issue is to prepare my meals myself and buy fresh fruits and vegetables.

Sodium is a concern for us also. We've started using the salt substitute called "NuSalt". We use it in cooking, baking, etc. So far, so good.

I was about to add a recipe to my new recipe collection and noticed that there's no "low sodium" health concern listed. It seems to me that this is a MAJOR health issue and should be a category that people can reference looking for recipes like this. Does anyone know how can I contact someone who administers the recipe database?
