I agree with the cheese and crackers. I like the reduced wheat thins with laughing cow wedges. I also like to take the edemame pods (they are sold in the frozen section - I believe 6 or 8 individual packages per box.) They fill you up and you can nibble while you work. Cut your fruit up so it's easier to munch on. I like to take baggies with grapes and sliced apples. I also like to keep almonds at my desk. If I get hungry and I'm all out of food, I munch on the almonds to take away the hunger until I get home for something healthy.

I often eat at my desk too. I find it easier sometimes to eat lots of little meals instead of trying to eat an actual lunch because I get interrupted so often. What about trying hard-boiled eggs, cheese with some whole grain crackers, yogurt with sliced fruit, or ants on a log (celery with peanut butter and raisins or other dried fruits). During the winter months I will bring homemade soups that I have frozen in individual portions.

Hi, I'm looking for healthy, easy, quick items to pack for a "desk lunch". I'm in a busy office, eat at my desk and bring lunch from home.....wonder why I now have 50 pounds to lose. So, I'm looking for brown bag lunch ideas. Easy to transport and handy (I live in a small rural area, can't go shopping for groceries often).
Thanks!!

Small steps....
