A Pressure Cooker is the best kitchen device ever invented.I have been using one for atleast 43 years---my mother bought one when I was just 12 or 13 years old!!!
It is a must in every kitchen across the length and breadth of India.I use 2-3 separate containers to cook Dal(Lentils),Rice and Potatoes at one go--- cooks three items----saves time and fuel---truly economical!!!!
I use it for making individual items like Indian Meat Curries,Pulaos and different Bean Dishes like Chholay(Garbanzo Beans)as these take a long time to cook otherwise in a Pressure Cooker as well.
A pressure Cooker is a truly smart investment to make----everyone should own one!!!!

I have always had a pressure cooker. I use it all the time. It cuts down the cooking time to a fraction. The recipes that come with the cooker are really good too. I make a steamed creme caramel in a Corning ware dish in it. Enjoy. You won't be sorry you invested in one. Many people I know are scared of it!!

I just wanted to say I LOVE MY PRESSURE COOKER! It's the best investment I've made in kitchen utensils (after the crock pot, of course). :-)

A couple days ago I made a really love lentil & rice pilaf. Today, I made a lentil vegetable soup. So delicious!
