Oh, god--just checked in after a 7-year hiatus. Gained back all my weight +13 pounds extra. Yowza--I am GREAT at the art of weight gain!
Well, I'm keeping my chin up. Just set some more goals and this time entered a specific food tracker plus specific exercise plan. I usually fire up after 2 weeks of steady gym time, but this time I really have to apply myself. I got lazy over the years, had a back injury and a fair bit of stress, but I don't want to make excuses and really don't want to continue on this path. I still feel young and sometimes even pretty, despite being on the cusp of 50.
My boyfriend needs to lose as well, and I know he's more prone to caving in, so I'd like to set an example and ultimately see the two of us motivating each other and doing workouts and healthy activities together. We've only been dating a little over a year, and it's so easy to fall into that drinks-dinner-dessert trap, especially living in the Big Apple. I find him so sweet and sexy even with his weight gain, and I want to be as pretty as I can be for him and me. There are so many gorgeous women in NYC and I'd like to be one of them!
Anyhow, just doing a fly-by and saying hello. Wishing you all well on your journey and really looking to be able to check in with good news about my progress. It would be great if I could start out with that first 10 pounds.
My biggest challenge will always be maintaining weight loss, so if any of you have been successful with that, let me know what you really believe was the secret to your success.
