Hi Linda, I know how you feel. I finally gave up on WW but that was the third time. It worked for me before 50 but lately I gain on it. I am giving this a go and back to counting calories and watching nutrition daily. And it's a lot of money saved. I have a Fitbit too and love it. Good luck to you.

Oh Linda you are so welcome! This is not an easy journey , is it? I long for the day when weight loss is no longer a concern. In the meantime, I have made it my quest to start enjoying other things in my life that improve its quality. Sometimes the ole weight loss journey can be stressful! Anyways, I wish you success and hope that you will keep us posted on how you are doing:)
I can relate to your story very well and I must say up until one month ago, I had no answers either...just confusion.. But I finally threw out all the "diets" and began to realize that not one diet works for everybody, one size does NOT fit all. So I began to track what I ate and really listened to my body. How did I feel the next day, how were my clothes fitting, did I have increased or decreased energy, how did I sleep, how was my mood? I have been diet centered most of my life and now I have begun to realize that I have to do what I know really works for me. Counting points, low carb crazes, they may work for some but not for me. My answer to you is what I wish someone would have told me.....get quiet and listen to your body, it will tell you what it needs and wants....and so far I have observed that SparkPeople helps us do just that:)

Hello! My name is Linda, and I am a 65 year old lady that is totally confused about nutrition/dieting today. I have done the weight watcher points, and it just doesn't work for me any more. Then I read books about dieting and see that you should do without wheat, or do away with dairy products, or corn, or anything with preservatives. And I now have a Fitbit - so think the additional walking is a good way to go. How do you separate all of the books / dieting and know what is best for you?
