I believe that nobody's challenge is as big as the one we all face personally, because nobody else has walked in our shoes and knows how we feel. Your comments made me smile, because you think my road is harder than yours. It's not. You just keep going! Just think of "Bob"...."I'm sailing!!!" haha

Hello there. No i cant say i have had the trauma of surgery, or the subsequent weight gain issues. i just got chubbier because i didnt watch it, then i told myself it didnt matter. So emoticon for your accomplishments. Of course you feel arrogant. lol! why not girl! you deserve it! Reading your pose definitely made me feel better. It made me feel more accountable. Because after a recovery and success like yours, what could possibly be my excuse?

Before I even posted an introduction, I took a quick look around at the message boards, afraid that I was going to find the same negativity and drama I found on another fitness site. Excuse me, but admitted anorexics and bulemics do not need a diet & fitness website...they need professional medical care. Nor am I interested in your dating age preferences and sex life. Hopefully we have one, but that's for a different site. Right now, I just want to stay on track. I'm a strong woman, but we all have our days, don't we?

I had a right hip replacement on June 2nd, and I weighed 180 lb as they wheeled me into the OR. Today I weigh 167.....down 13 lb and feeling pretty darned arrogant about it. haha! I am kidding. I thought this would be easier, but I still can't move the way I did before this hip thing really started bothering me a couple years ago. But I am grateful, because I am no longer in pain...at least not the kind that had me running (oops, I meant hobbling) for the Vicodin and whatever else I could get.

Life is fantastic. I wonder if there is anyone else here like me....who gained a lot of weight while waiting for that surgery date, and now has the challenge of getting back to that place when we looked as good as we feel. If I can help just one person feel better about what we're trying to do here, that'll make it all worth it. emoticon
