You are moving in the right direction. This site is full of good resources and encouragement. It helps to find a couple of teams to join, since it makes the experience more personal. One you might like to join initialy is the "Official 10-Minute Daily Exercise Streak Challenge" which encourages you to start with the small change of committing to ten minutes of exercise daily, and build from there. It's a good group of folks. :)

Hi fellow sparkpeople. I've never used this before for weight loss but I'd like to give it a try. I lost a lot of weight 3 yrs ago than my mom got sick and passed away and than 3 months later I lost my brother to cancer. I really just haven't cared to stick to a diet plan but I'm now at the point where if I don't I'm going to have serious health issues. I'm 57 yr and if I don't do it now I never will.
