It's great that you're in your 30's. A perfect time to learn steady healthy habits and prevent loads of trouble and complaints when you're older. Good habits are more important than working on weight loss alone - if you teach yourself this month to JUST take a walk of 20 minutes every day, and eat one or two extra servings of veggies per day and keep that up so you keep doing it year in year out, you are doing yourself a MASSIVE favor. I'm very serious.
Don't be like me, don't wait to work on good habits. Once you get foot, hip or knee complaints form being overweight it'so much harder to exercise and get / keep the weight off.

2 weeks ago I rejoined the world of Sparkpeople determined to lose some weight. I tried it a few years back and managed to lose 80lbs. Fell off the wagon hard. Tried to get back on, but the 2nd time around I tried to do it on motivation alone. After quickly falling off again and trying other weight loss programs, I finally gave up. About a month ago I realized my already plus size clothing were starting not to fit. With some discipline and determination, I have started eating healthy again. Stepped on the scale 2 days into eating healthier and reality hit me. I knew I gained wait, but didn't know it was that much. I am determined more than ever to make the scale a liar and never be that weight again. I am in my 30's, married to a wonderfully supportive husband. I know this time around I can do this and stick to it.
