Tracking food does raise an awareness to results-but it is a pain!!!

First off warmest welcome to Spark People. It's going to be a hard journey but stay committed & consistent. Set up your spark page so you can log everything (fitness & food) as well as adding friends and receiving messages. Search this site for recipes and plan meals for the week...Food prep is a big key. Tupperware or brown bagging works. It's about 80% is nutrition and the rest is activity. Try something new whether it be food or activity. In order for your body to change you have to change your mind. Listen if you need an accountability partner let me know. Stay committed in this journey!!!

It most certainly does! Often knowing that you have to track it will prevent a binge!

Through tracking my food I am realizing that I need to increase my protein and decrease my carbs. It also helps to stop that mindless eating when you have to write down what you eat.
