I'm sorry to hear of your losses but thank-ful that you've realized that some of the choices you made in the midst of the great sorrow were not very healthy and that today you are starting to recover your health...you can recover, and we're here to support you on your journey. Enjoy and keep your goals ever before you. emoticon

Welcome back! Widowhood is tough and few of us have anyone our age with whom we can talk. I was widowed at age 45 and the only person that I knew who had been widowed was my grandmother.

Now it is time for "you". Let me know if I can help.

hello, my name is Tracy, I just turned 41. I have a 20 y/o daughter that is married, a son that is 15 and another daughter that is 14. We have a 14 y/o golden retriever mix, an 11 y/o cat, 2 guinea pigs and a fish.

I was here 4 years ago and lost about 40 lbs, but the last 17 months have been very terrible and I have re-gained about 25 to 30 lbs. Oct 2012 I was laid off, I was one of around 120. Jan 2013 I lost my father to cancer. May 2013 I lost my husband to heart attack.

After my husband passed I went about 2 months having to force feed myself because I had a very hard time eating or drinking anything and keeping it down, then once I started eating again it was mostly junk food and then it got to the point where I was over eating, and when I am bored and lonely I eat.

Today I am starting this again, I will do it again.
