I feel your pain. But I know nothing about thyroid issues. I do know about hitting plateaus and stalling out, even though I am burning more calories than i'm taking in. It just seems totally illogical. Like a car that goes from 25 mpg, to 50 with no explanation emoticon

Hello and Welcome to SparkPeople!

You really need to post your message on one of the Thyroid Spark Teams, try:

I started Sparking in June of 2007. By using Spark and some self discovery along the way, I'm down 50 pounds, and am holding steady at a healthy weight. Spark is a massive site, you'll be discovering new and exciting things for months to come!

I am new to spark, however I have been eating paleo for 5 weeks now also going to the gym and follow that with swimming. I am still not loosing any weight. I am 6'1 and 171lbs. It's so frustrating! I am just wondering if anyone can help. I had to have my thyroid killed and have been put on synthetic replacement, but the Dr. said they are over treating it and he keeps lowering that dose. I gained 70lbs when they did that procedure and now it's just stuck, I am stuck. Dieting like a demon and exercising like hell but still no progress.
