I think the best way to get that interaction at the start is to join your Class Team and/or a team or two that shares your goals and interests. There are teams on Spark for just about everything! -- weight loss goals, sports, age groups, geographical location, favorite form of exercise, etc., etc. Once you join the team, you can put it out there that you're looking for an accountability partner or "buddy."

Hi All! My name is Krista and I hail from eastern Canada. I am new to the Spark community and am in need of some new friends and support! Like I'm sure many of you have, when it comes to weight loss, I've done it all: Weight Watchers, Tops, special diets and work out programs, etc. I'm not saying those programs are bad, I'm just saying I didn't find the personal interaction I needed to be successful. This is where you come in :) I need people to encourage and check on me daily to ensure I am tracking, etc. In the past, the two most useful tools I have used are tracking, and being part of a community such as this. I have over 100 pounds to lose emoticon and I'm hoping you all can help me. In return, I'll support and encourage you in your goals. Together, We Can!!!! A bit about me, I'm a 45 year old woman, married with a six year old son. I work full time in a shift work environment. I'd love to hear from you emoticon !
