Happy New Year everyone. I'm returning to Sparkpeople because I have managed to gain back most all the weight I had previously lost in 2007-2008. YIKES!

I am 51, and 55 lbs overweight. Empty nest now of 4 grown children that have gotten married and started their own families. A grandma of one beautiful girl! And my husband and I are in ministry together. I have my own music ministry during the week that brings joy & peace to others who are living in assisted living or elderly care facilities. I enjoy it and look forward to doing this for a very long time. However, I have a hard time thinking positive about myself, and my self image since I've gained the weight back. I am tired all the time, have a love/hate relationship with food in general. There are times when I enjoy cooking, and times when I don't even want to look at food. Right after the Christmas holiday, is probably a prime time to feel this way, especially if I haven't exercised in a very long time.
I am looking for support and motivation to change my "tapes" in order to loose this weight for good and adopt a "Lifestyle" of healthy eating.
Happy New Year---out with the old me and in with the new healthy me!
