I not diabetic.
I am not a doctor.
But, there are many studies out there that show that high fat intakes lead to high glucose levels in the blood by blocking insulin's ability to unlock the cell for glucose to enter therein.

Here is one of the best lectures on diabetes I've seen:

Hope this helps you manage your disease.

Be sure to discuss it with your healthcare practitioner ~

hi i am peggy,i am new here and would like to make some news friends to see if we can help each other reach our goals, i am a diabetic and my BS are all over the board,my diabetic dr has changed my insulin amounts 4 times in 2 months now, so now i have bought a google nexxus 7 tablet and i downloaded an app called glucose buddy, i love it, i keep track of my weight,my blood pressure,my blood glucose readings,my insulin's med and how much i take and when,i keep track of all food and all drinks, and i email all the logs to my diabetic dr weekly,i would like to meet people who are also diabetic that can help me along my journey, and i would like to help you also if i can,i am learning how to read labels and understand the carb amount,i am learning how to look up carb amounts in books and right now i am allowed 195 carbs daily,i am suppose to break it down to 45 for each meal 3 times a day and 15 for each snack 3 times a day, first of all i don't eat that much,i usually only eat once or twice a day and eat no snacks,so i have to change eating habits, learn more on carb counting, need to learn how many calories i am allowed and still be able to stay at 195 carbs a day,so i have a lot to learn, and would love to meet new friends and learn new healthy ways to eat emoticon
