Hi! emoticon

Sounds like a pretty good plan; maybe a little boring with those shakes! Why only 3 vegetables, though, I wonder? Or is it 3+?

Glad you have seen some success already. This is a great site for support and all of the tools you need to really change your life for good.

The biggest mistake most people make is just not coming back, so try to at least get your login points and check in every day; tracking food and exercise daily is better; checking in with a team, too, is the best.

Hello everyone. I am currently following a weight management program sponsored by a hospital behavior group. I am closely surpervised by medical personnel and since I have heart disease this is the program my cardiologist feels is good for me.
My program consists of 3 meal replacement protein shakes a day and 1 full meal that includes 6 ounces of protein and 3 vegetables a day. I also have 1 piece of fruit daily as a snack. I have lost 41 pounds since May and plan to lose another 20-30 pounds.
I feel so much better already that it is amazing. I know that losing weight lessens the stress on my heart and on my joints. I cannot explain why I did not jump on the health wagon right after my heart attack, but that is the past. I am now taking care of myself.
I had a total knee replacement September, 2012 and had multiple problems with the knee after the surgery. I just had revision surgery October 7, and things are going well this time. so increased exercise is not an option right now, but will be soon. I can't wait to do more than the Physical therapy for the knee. But I will go slowly and follow the recommendations to the letter. I tend to be somewhat impatient, but I want to get better so I know what I have to do.
So far, I am impressed with the people and blogs I am finding here on SparkPeople, so I plan to be here a lot. Hope to talk with many of you frequently.
