I just signed up on September 19, 2013 and I'm looking forward to finding a friend or two that might have the following in common with me:
1. Type 1 diabetes for more than 35 years. 2. An insulin pump user for over 14 years. 3. Willing to do whatever it takes to lose 38 pounds in a healthy way.
So far I have found it to be an incredible challenge eating so many carbohydrates on this SparkPeople "diabetic" friendly diet and my insulin requirements have gone skyhigh accordingly. I cannot seem to get my blood sugars below 200 without falling down to 40.
However, I am grateful for this site! It has all the tools combined which I need to show me exactly what I'm eating. This assists me when dialing up a bolus for the carbohydrate levels. Any other assistance would be greatly appreciated! Thanks for reading my post!
