You're already off to a great start - you've designed your home page, so people can visit you and get to know you and support you! And you've joined a few teams - posting on the message boards of your teams is a great way to meet people and make friends. Personally, I find that my Spark friends are my biggest motivation!
Cynthia, with the program you describe, you should be seeing at least a small drop in your weight. Are you tracking your food? Could be you are taking in more calories than you realize. It's important to watch portion control, and tracking everything you eat will help you to be sure you're not going over your calorie goal. On your start page there's a link where you can enter your present weight and your goal, and it will tell you how many calories you can have a day.
Also I highly recommend you track your exercise too. These two trackers are great tools to help you reach your goal.
