WELCOME TO SPARK!!! Congrats on taking the first step into changing your life to a more healthier one by joining the site. Spark is filled with amazing people that will motivate, support and encourage you on your journey. There is so much to learn and discover here, take this one day at a time. A couple of things I would like to suggestion to make you Spark experience a great one.
1. Make goals for yourself. Each month I make a list of what I want to accomplish that month and break them down to smaller goals to work with week by week. This way the BIG picture doesn't seem so big.
2. Join Spark teams. There are tons of teams here and you will be able to find ones that fit to what you like or want in a team.
The key to success here is to be active and you've already started by joining. You will find that everyone is willing to help you out if you need it. First off warmest welcome to Spark People. It's going to be a hard journey but if you stay committed even when you fall off get right back on. Log everything as if you were writing a book about yourself. Food prep is a big key. Search this site for recipes and plan meals for the week...Tupperware or brown bagging works. It's about 80-90% what you intake and the rest is activity. Try something new whether it be food or activity. In order for your body to change you have to change your mind. I can go on & on about what helped me loose 56lbs, you have to play around w/ what works for your body. Listen if you need an accountability partner let me know. I have a support page (link below) if you ever need some daily inspiration, recipes or if you'd like to add some input on what helps you. Stay committed in this journey!!!

Hello my name is LaCourdia Jones and I am starting out ny journey to lose 130#. I am 10 yrs wed and a mother of nine, yes all nine were birthed through me. I am Executive Administrator fir a private Christian school as well as a church clerk for Cornerstone Word of Faith Ministries. Graphic design is my passion as well as journaling. My children are between the ages of 6 to 19yrs. I have been overweight since 1996 and after threatening a stroke 2yrs ago, I was determined to change my eating habits, but I fell off track. I was glad to become a member if this health forum and I hope tour testimonies will be a part of my determination to see myself healthier and toner. U welcome tips and advice to help me along this journey. Thank you Spark for being an assistance towards fighting obesity.
