You don't have to stop loving to eat... you just have to listen to yourself more carefully. "Do I REALLY want 3 pieces of cheesecake? Or is 1 enough?" (At least that's the question I've found myself having to answer.) I joined sparkpeople in 2008, and Weight Watchers in 2006 (and 2004) and, though I'm 15-20 lbs lighter than I was when I joined WW, I've found myself settling for a weight that is "good enough." Well, it's not good enough any more. And if I fall off the wagon again (which I don't predict!), I will forgive myself and get right back on. And you can, too!

I am so annoyed, too! Not at myself, not at you, but at my students in my class who have been playing around for two weeks while I teach my heart out and then when the assessment comes, they complain that they don't know what to do!!! Augh!!! Maybe it does relate to you...Spark People has so many support systems, ways of doing better with your own eating, etc. that it seems just insane not to use them each and every day you can!! Nobody is perfect, but you can at least try.
You're not alone in your frustration! What may help you is to join a SparkTeam for morale support from others like yourself - there are so many teams based on hobby interests, geographical location, health conditions - you name it!
Welcome and best wishes!

I've signed up here for SparkPeople December 2012, so a few months to a year ago... I did well for 2 weeks December 11th, losing about 4 pounds. It really made me happy and I felt accomplished... all of a sudden, I turn back into lazy boy and I had no motivation to continue on... 8 months later (About) I've really gained those pounds, because, MAN! I LOVE TO EAT! Yeah... no, that's got to stop. I've got to start losing weight, there's a number of reasons for me as to why I need to lose weight. Losing weight would help my kidney problem more, keep my heart from being weighed on to much in the future, etc etc. There's just a bunch of reasons.
I'm just not happy with myself though. Like, I DO want to lose weight... but I have no motivation to do this everyday. The only motivation I'll probably find is if I can find a personal fitness partner to egg me to go on, to not give up, and tell me "ADDISON NO! KEEP GOING!" if I just felt like I wanted to stop or something... you know, a person to check on me everyday. And I'll do the same thing... I just need motivation in my healthy life if im going to keep going. Eating healthy and exercising everyday, I will definitely need a buddy.
It would be appreciated if you could point me to someone or a group with fitness partners. I'd be happy.
But yeah, I'm just way to lazy and not motivated to do anything.. but I would really love to start working on a healthy life and mind. Right now, I'm not being healthy at all with all this fat food. Ontop of that, I really do enjoy stuffing my face with Smart Ones, like a few of those, and sometimes some other things... This has all really got to stop, and I am relying on SparkPeople to help me sort out my life!
