Hello and Welcome to SparkPeople!

I started Sparking in June of 2007. By using Spark and some self discovery along the way, I'm down 50 pounds, and am holding steady at a healthy weight. Spark is a massive site, you'll be discovering new and exciting things for months to come!

I am doing sparks for a 3rd time. I have tried it on my own but it did not work. I finally bought the android app and we will see how it goes. I have to lose about 92 pounds, and have just started. I have a family history of high cholesterol and high triglycerides. I have to find the time to exercise as well. For now I am trying to use my everyday activities, such as house cleaning, vacuuming , and walking the long way from the parking garage to my office building.

Okay, this is my second time trying to start on Spark. I lose weight, my confidence goes up, I eat, I gain it all back plus some. My husband was just diagnosed with diabetes and high cholesterol - his triglycerides were 1400. I have done away with almost all the junk. I have some 100 calorie packs and fiber one bars for my son's school snacks but, that's it. So far in 2.5 wks my husband has lost 21lbs and my eight year old has lost 7lbs. Some mornings I've lost 12 and some morning it's only 1- if that. My husband is exercising - well doing the treadmill and I "don't have time". LOL What a freakin' cop out. I HAVE to get healthy. I HAVE to lose weight and eat healthier. I WILL track my nutrition and exercise. I WILL exercise. I WILL give myself permission to take the time to take care of me. (someone kick me in the butt if I don't, please)
