When I first started seriously trying to lose weight the same thing happened to me. After researching and learning from others on Spark, I discovered I was insulin resistant. I had to lower my carbs and never eat carbs without pairing with protein , and then I lost weight! There is a book that helped me "The Insulin-Reistance Diet" by Cheryle Hart and Mary Kay Grossman.
Good luck with Spark and your weight loss.

The biggest mistake that we make is not properly counting the calories consumed. It is for that reason that I try to go as high as possible on the individual calorie count. Another mistake that we make is saying that we do a multiple of exercises "Every Single Day of the Week". After a while, we begin to believe our own exaggerations. Lastly, we tend to go through the motions of doing exercises without barely breaking a sweat. For it to be effective, exercise has to be physically demanding. Good luck!!

Hi everyone, just introducing myself, I've been on Spark going on 2nd week. I am 57 years old and a grandma four times over. I have been walking/swimming/riding stationary bike everyday since May and have yet to lose any weight. Doctor said to eat a 1300-1500 calorie, which I have been doing. Don't know what more I can do?, any suggestions would be welcome and helpful. Thanks
