Welcome. If you felt good at 165-170 then set that as your goal, then once you reach it, you can set a new goal if you still want to go to 145. Your age is not a factor providing that you're eating within your calorie range and exercising. It'll come off, you'll feel better and be healthier. It's a win-win!

emoticon Greetings ANNIEBOBANNIE2 - glad to have you join us!

Sparking is all about creating healthier lifestyles and is not a quick fix. In fact, it's more of a journey than a destination. So take it slow making gradual changes, ones that are reasonable and sustainable for the long run - permanent changes that will lead to permanent results. Here's an article you may find helpful in getting started.

In my younger days, an insurance company posted a chart stating that 145 #s is ideal for my height and sex. And when I weighed 165- 170#s I felt great and I felt like I looked good. But, I still wanted to get down to 145#s, magically of course. But when that did not happen I dieted for a while off and on through the years and lost 10 - 15 pounds but never got down to that elusive 145#s. Now I am pushing 60 years old I weigh 242 #s and I want to still get down to 145#s. I hope this site and others like it will help. Its a new approach for me.
