Just keep telling yourself that you need a healthy life style.....not a bad one. Do you want to be a diabetic, have heart problems, be on dialysis...etc. Keep thinking this when you want the bad stuff. Healthy is better and there's a lot of recipes out there, that you can make and they taste sooooo good!!! Keep up the good work!!!! You can do it!!!

I love to smile and make people around me smile. I want to keep that smile on my face. Right now...it's so hard....

I just need to change my mind set which is so hard. I think I will always want fried food and molten chocolate cakes..That's my problem! I don't know how to strengthen my will to overcome the urge. Hopefully I will learn that along the way..

Need to break my yoyo dieting cycle!!

Hi all. I'm new to Spark People so I'm still navigating my way around. I still have to figure out how to add my picture! :) I'm a chronic yoyo dieter. My typical weight loss every time I diet is around 30-35 pounds. I then hit a plateau for a month and lose my motivation. I sincerely hope I can find a buddy to help me (and I'll help support in return) so we can both be successful together. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 5 years ago when I complained of constant pain and anxiety. Some days are worse than others but I really try to work through it with grace. I have 2 children, a 9 year old daughter and a 6 year old son who are my livelihood so I really can't feel too sorry for myself for too long! I hope all is well with everyone here.

PASTEELER, I'm sorry you were diagnosed with diabetes. My mother and father both have Type 2 diabetes and I see what they go through. My mother is getting a gastric bypass operation within the next few months so I hope that will help her lose the weight she needs.

Diana, I will also join that challenge in a month maybe.. I want to do things gradually.

Ok.....I had written before that I was recently diagnosed a diabetic. That was on July 24th. On Monday , Aug 5th my doctor prescribed my Metforum. (sp). My numbers have come down, but, they're still around 141 now. They were ave around 226. I can't exercise because I just had surgery July 26th. No bending, stairs, reaching, twisting..... How am I going to get my numbers down??????? Thanks for any help.......

P.S......To Diana7790......when the surgeon gives me the ok....I love to be a part of your walking team....
