Don't be afraid to give your best at what seemingly are small jobs. Every time you conquer one it makes you that much stronger. If you do the little jobs well, the big ones will tend to take care of themselves.

Hello, Sparkpeople! I found my way here while searching for a free alternative to Weight Watchers. I can't help but feel that I shouldn't have to pay to lose weight--especially when my problem isn't what I eat, it's how much I eat and eating when I'm not hungry. Yes, I'm that rare women who will binge on roasted Brussels sprouts!

I'm the mother of three children (two in elementary school, one home with mom for another year), and I'm a professional writer. My goal is to loose 50-75 pounds, and to make exercise part of my day. I wouldn't mind making a few friends along the way, too.
