I'm 5'4" and my starting weight was 185 pounds, I'm now down to 168, but I try and aim for 1,200 to 1,500 (max, I never get to 1,500)
It's been working really well for me so far.
If you are eating healthy, 1,200 calories a day will keep you full.
Keep in mind that healthy diet choices need to go hand in hand with calories.
If you are eating highly processed food that contains a lot of calories, your calories will add up quickly without eating much.
Stick to fruits and veggies as snacks to fill you up during the day.
