You are certainly in the right place to get the encouragement you may need. Information here is in abundance too regarding your situation.

I am pursuing this weight loss of mine to avoid type 2 as it is solid in my family history. My wife at 52 is also a type two and manages through pills at the moment - she is loosing weight at the moment in the hope of avoiding the insulin injections in the future.

Hi
I am a 51 year old women with type 2 diabetes, heart issues, depression, emotional eater. There is a lot to know about me. I have what is called PTSD and it effected my life pretty bad. Two weeks ago my sugar was 10.6 and they wanted me to go on the insulin pump. I thought I would rather pull myself together and get this sugar under control. I have very little physical motivation for some reason. I am hoping to get to know people who have some of the same issues I have. I did a lot of research on assisting my sugar levels. I am taking cinnamon and turmeric along with my meds. My insulin went down from 40 to 18. So I am not taking as much. I am now doing a change of life with my eating habits. I know I have a long way to go. I take vit. D, B12 and COQ10. This has been in the last two weeks. I found better prices on EBAY for anyone who wants to know. I still have a few things up my sleeve and I am determined not to be on insulin anymore. I also smoke and that is going to be hard to quit. I was 262 lbs. and now I am 249. If you need any info from me please ask. I have done extensive research. Thank You for reading This is the beginning for me and I do intend to win. To All "one step at a time"
