Hello! I am also new to running.
I have already learned to love it though! Check out the SparkPeople Running Resource Center; it's full of articles regarding safety, form, choosing proper footwear, etc. Also, I'd recommend a Couch to 5K program, if you're not already doing one. SparkPeople has one, the SparkPeople Rookie Running Program, but they're are different ones. You can just do an internet search and find one that suits you. If you have a smart phone, I'd recommend the Zombies, Run! 5K Training because I'm using that one alongside the SP Rookie one, and it's super fun!
